Artist Statement:
I'm a Bay Area native and museum-exhibited artist. My paintings translate the inner life — its questions, tensions, small revelations — into visual metaphors, using animals and humans as stand-ins for parts of myself. Humor, symbolism, unexpected juxtapositions, and bold colors do the heavy lifting — they let me share something honest about my interior life without taking myself too seriously. I work in oil, building the surface up in layers.
