Artist Statement:
Each painting involves a balance of preparatory work and creative instinct, a combination of planned and unplanned efforts. Sketching, small studies, drawing from life and my imagination, and intuitive brushwork all come into play throughout the process.
I'm honored to have been chosen as the grand prize winner in the statewide 2D competition at the Triton Museum of Art and to have had a solo exhibition of my work there.
