Artist Statement:
I’m a painter who works predominantly in oil and acrylic paints. I’m also a filmmaker with a BA in Film & Television Production from Loyola Marymount University. I’ve worked as a freelance director, photographer, and content writer for clients including Flaunt Magazine, UCSF, and the American Heart Association.
My dual loves of painting and film are both inspired by my lifelong studies of light and storytelling. My understanding of light and cinematography is rooted in a background of classical charcoal portraiture and figure drawing. I draw inspiration from subjects ranging from the epic to the everyday, from the jungles of Indonesia to quiet moments between friends.
