Artist Statement:
When I paint, I hope to recreate the way the scene reveals its sense of harmony, beauty, and joy to me. I firmly believe that color influences mood and feelings. I try to use color mixes and combinations that are bold, lively and uplifting to the viewer. In addition, I want my subjects to transport me to another location – a mini-vacation for both you and me!
I have lived and painted in Morgan Hill for many years and have exhibited my paintings in restaurants and locations all over town. I was also a founding member of Gallery Morgan Hill. Galleries in Kenwood, Carmel, and Capitola have exhibited and sold my work. I have taught art and silk painting in Morgan Hill, Capitola, and at Filoli in Woodside.
