November 5-6, 2022 (10AM - 4PM)!
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Who can apply?
The Morgan Hill Open Studios event offers local artists an opportunity to share their work and processes with the public, connect with other artists and sell their work. We welcome artists from Morgan Hill, San Martin, Gilroy and South San Jose to participate in our open studio event. You will have the option to showcase from your own space (home, studio, business, etc.) or in one of our communal spaces in Morgan Hill. If you do not have a studio space, MHOS will contact you prior to the event with a location. Those located outside of these areas are still encouraged to apply, but will need to either showcase with another local artist or at one of the communal spaces.
Registration:
Registration begins May 1st, 2022 and ends June 30, 2022. Late registration will be accepted if feasible until September 1st.
* We have moved the registration period to an earlier date this year to accommodate the design of a printed brochure and adequate advertising time.
Fee:
The fee for participating in the Morgan Hill Open Studio event is as follows:
$95 Early Registration (May 1 - 31)
$115 Regular Registration (June 1 - 30)
$75 Age 20 and younger (May 1 - June 30)
$195 Late Registration (After June 30th) Late registration will only be accepted if it is feasible.
* Payment will be processed through PayPal, however you do not need a PayPal account to complete payment. Credit cards are accepted through PayPal.
The Registration Fee goes toward:
Signage before and during the event, a printed event brochure (new this year) and postcards, website fees, advertising in local newspapers and through social media, and a new artists' meet and greet.

HOW TO REGISTER:
* new this year will be the ability to save and edit your registration. Just click "Save and Return" and/or "Save Progress" to register for an account. If you don't finish your registration and don't save it, your information will be lost and you will need to start over.
1. Credit card or Paypal account for registration fee. You do not need a Paypal account: credit cards are accepted through Paypal.
2. As part of our open studio event, we are creating an artist directory that will include information about you as an artist and your open studio location. This information will be public and may be used on our website, social media, and/or printed marketing materials. This information includes:

Business Name
Email
Phone Number
Website - be sure to enter a complete URL beginning with "http://"
Social Media account
Primary art medium
3. Artist's Statement and Bio. Describe your background, artistic achievements, media/process, and the thought behind your artwork in 4-5 sentences. 1000 character max.
4. What is the price range of your artwork?
5. 3-5 images of your artwork that you would like to be used in your public listing on our website, social media, and printed material. One image should include a photo of yourself: either a headshot or of you doing your artwork. Although we only require 3 images, we encourage you to include more than 3 as these will be used for promotional purposes to attract the public to your space. Images must be high resolution jpegs at least 1MB in size and at least 2000 pixels on the longest side. Please make any color adjustments and cropping to your images prior to uploading. Label images with your first and last name and sequential numbers (i.e. JaneDoe_01, JaneDoe_02, etc.)
6. Do you have a space to show your work?
If yes, what is the address and can you accommodate another artist?
If no, we will find you a space either with another artist or at a larger communal site.
7. Permissions:
a. Allow photos of your artwork to be used for Morgan Hill Open Studios promotional material.
b. Obtain a valid seller's permit from the California State Board of Equalization. Licenses are free and can be obtained by calling
