Artist Statement:
A lifetime student of art and history, I have been a professional artist and art teacher for 54 years, working in drawing, watercolors and oils.
After training in traditional academic methods, my work evolved into a looser impressionistic style which has been exhibited by the American Watercolor Society and has won top awards in regional shows.
Students have come to my home studio since 1975 for lessons that are relaxed and fun, packed with information and frequent demonstrations that help them become more observant, have fun experimenting without fear of failure, and learn problem solving methods while creating their own personal drawings and paintings.
