Artist Statement:
Since I could imagine them, Ive been creating mythical beasts, mainly dragons, serpents, unicorns and other mythical monsters. They were my childhood obsession, who doesn’t love a good monster? Kaiju?
Though I’ve left my beloved toothless fanart behind, I have continued to imagine even more horrifying, eerie, often surreal abominations of flesh. I create these imaginative daemons to illustrate my ever further complicating opinions of our unforgiving natural world. Concepts of death, decomposition and rebirth, expressed through the harsh scratches of over-obsessed hatched ink. I’m curious what you will see between the lines.
