Artist Statement:
I have been working with clay for about 7 years now. My passion for ceramics really took off while working in Japan where I was able to take lessons on the weekend. There I learned traditional Japanese wheel-throwing and decorative techniques. Nowadays, I create a mixture of functional and sculptural hand-built ceramics pieces that all take a little influence from my time in Japan.
